Bill
Holland remembers appearing on the show;
"I
was about age 12 and Captain of the school safety patrol at Groveton Elementary
in Fairfax
County... Invited to attend the show through Ofc. Paul Dove, our Fairfax
Co.
Police rep, we went to the downtown D. C. studio and were instructed what
to do
and
say when we got on the air. I was asked a few questions, but can't remember
what.
(I probably
made a fool out of myself.) Afterwards, we were told that we'd done such
a great
job that we were taken to a ice cream parlor for a special treat...".
-
(Now
retired, Holland
went on to a law enforcement career with the U.S. Park Police.)

"As
any of them will tell you at the drop of a pin,
the
club's rules are:
1. Look
to the left.
2. Look
to the right.
3. Watch
for cars turning the corner.
If the
way is clear then GO ."
